In Chicago’s premier entertainment hub, Digital Ambiance worked alongside Pure Partners and Metro Pro to bring the Wind Creek Casino lobby to life. Our large-scale installation combines volumetric LED displays with sculptural light gems, creating an immersive visual experience that evolves throughout the day.
Spanning multiple sections of LED Pulse arrays, this installation is currently the largest permanent 3-dimensional display in the world. By merging dynamic lighting with precision-engineered structures, we’ve crafted a captivating centerpiece that sets the tone for an unforgettable casino experience.

Designing a radiant fusion of volumetric displays and sculptural gems to define the casino’s identity.
The concept for Wind Creek Casino’s lobby centerpiece emerged from a desire to craft an experience that was both iconic and immersive. Alongside Metro Pro, we envisioned a layered composition where volumetric light displays create a sense of depth and movement, while custom-made sculptural gems add a tactile, radiant quality to the space.
Beyond aesthetics, the marketing and branding teams saw real potential to incorporate subtle messaging via contextual content on the 3 dimensional displays at the heart of the installation. The volumetric displays offer a dynamic canvas for tailored content, allowing the casino and its partners to integrate branded visuals seamlessly into the experience without disrupting the artistic integrity of the piece.
The Language of Light
Programming the Wind Creek Casino installation required tackling the sheer scale and complexity of animating hundreds of thousands of volumetric pixels (voxels) alongside the sculptural light gems. Every display had to be precisely mapped, with each pixel carefully orchestrated to ensure seamless transitions between visuals. Custom animation sequences were developed to create a harmonious interplay between the volumetric displays and the glowing gems, balancing dynamic motion with visual cohesion. Processing this volume of data required cutting-edge software solutions, ensuring smooth playback and fluid movement across the entire installation.
Engineering at Scale
Bringing this installation to life required precision engineering on an extraordinary scale. Each volumetric display cluster had to be seamlessly integrated into the casino’s architecture while supporting the weight and positioning of the sculptural light gems.
This intricate system demanded custom mounting solutions and extensive electrical planning to synchronize the thousands of LED nodes with their sculptural counterparts. Close coordination with the GCs, Architects, and Electrical teams was paramount to this project’s success.
